Yesterday was what we call Super Tuesday, Kylie. 24 states held presidential primaries or caucuses.
The book in the picture is a collection of open letters to the public as a kind of debate on the ratification of the Constitution, back in 1787 and 1788.
I know there are a truckton of candidates and that Oprah loves Obama, but I have no idea about caucuses.
Here, the entire country votes on one day and then we know the result that night. The campaign for our Federal Election last year was maybe three months long.
The whole country will vote in November to elect the president. What we are doing now is narrowing it down to one candidate for each party.
The caucus is a bit different than a primary election, but the what it comes down to is … selecting delegates to vote for the chosen candidate at each party’s convention. Er … now I’m confusing myself.
Um… not until May 20.
That’s a long time to wait to complain!
I’m confused. I don’t get it. What am I missing?

Does it make more sense now?
Kinda. Sorta. Maybe. No – not even slightly.

I need to educate myself, clearly!

Wait… you mean we actually ELECT a president? I thought we just had people rig the polls in Florida and then magically become president!
This year California is going to select the president, Stuck. GAH!
But no I beg to differ. I did not vote and will bitch mercilessly regardless. So NYAH.
RW, you can bitch for now …. but if you don’t vote in November I will tolerate no whining about the outcome
Yes, and I wish I could have voted for John Edwards (who was still on the ballot, btw) but screw him and his empty promises!!
Is that enough bitching for you?
Cowboy … bitter much?
Has something happened to John Edwards? Because I actually know who he is.
He dropped out, Kylie. It’s now Obama vs. Clinton on the democrat side.
