Last year MoC gave me a pre-lit 4 ft Christmas tree so that I would stop being a scrooge. TFC knocked it over and tried to eat it on several occasions.
I dragged it out of the closet this afternoon and wrestled it out of the box. TFC helped.
I anchored the stand with duct tape to thwart the cat’s attacks. That looked really ugly, so I had to improvise a tree skirt. It’s a bath towel. It’s true, I’m that good.
After that, I had to finish decorating.
For the record, the coaster tin next to Santa is painted with a winter scene. That counts for Christmas, sort of. The red star candle is kind of Christmasy too. And yes, that is a price tag on the candle on the second shelf. I bought it 3 years ago, I think.
Wow, you’re more Scroogey than me! I have a tree skirt that is the lower half of a fuzzy red bathrobe I got at a Goodwill for a costume one year. About 15 years ago. I think I should get a real tree skirt one year. If I ever put up a big tree again.
LOL I’m pretty scroogey, it’s true. But mostly it’s because I don’t have people over during the season and I go to MoC’s for the day itself. It always seemed kind of pointless, until I got a tree and realized that it does put me in the spirit a little.
